InteGuitar Interface Advantages on the Electric Guitar

At InteGuitar we are completely aware of the certain type of people out there that just don’t want to learn to play on a Nylon string or Acoustic Guitar they’re not interested in the style of music these guitars produce. These type of people want to ROCK from day 1 and the Interface System has  enabled this to happen.

The Electric Guitar is not generally the recommended Guitar to learn on and you need to understand this is only for some easily dealt with reasons. So if you feel you can solve these small issues then there is nothing stopping you learning on InteGuitars favorite… the Electric Guitar.

The positives: The Sound Box Body of an Acoustic Guitar is much bigger and can be cumbersome to handle. This makes it hard to see the Fretboard/Neck whereas the Electric Guitars solid body is much smaller and easier to get around.

The String Tension on an Electric Guitar is not as loose as a Nylon String but not as tight as the Steel String making string control much easier to learn.

The Negatives: The Electric Guitar is played mainly in Western Countries and the cheaper Guitars are made in Eastern Countries this means there is a risk of damaged in transport issue the Guitar has to go through before it Reaches you. It makes much more economic sense exporting Electric Guitars at what is called Factory Floor Finished stage saving the cost of the Set -Up and Intonation stage left to be done at the country of destination Guitar shop.

The Set-Up stage of an Electric Guitar adds about half the cost again to the Guitar. Frugal web sites have been selling guitars without the Set up Stage completed and is how the guitars can be sold for so cheap. Its not easy to visually tell whether the Guitar has been set up or not except the Guitar strings used are called traveler strings that are far less in quality. Also if the Price of the Guitar is under about $200 or seems ridiculously cheap then its Guaranteed it’s a factory floor Guitar.

The Intonation set up ensures the Guitar tunes up correctly.

Electric Guitar needs an Amplifier to be heard making it a more expensive and adding to the learning curve. But it is possible to get around this by using a smart phone AP.

If all this sounds too involved then your right what all this information is telling you is why the Electric Guitar is not realy a beginners Guitar the Acoustic Guitars have all ready had the set up.

Most people will advise the Nylon String as the best to learn on because the Nylon Strings are easier on the fingertips.

Today (14/02/16) We worked with a 6 year old girl and her mother come into the InteGuitar studios and we had her playing the D A E chords within half and hour it was amazing to watch. We did not realy have to spend much time pointing out which fingers to use.

Here are the reasons why:

SIZE. Fits on all three types of guitar. Nylon string guitars have a wider neck so it means you will need to stretch the interfaces a bit harder to attach them. It takes about five minutes to set up on the guitar.
EASE OF LEARNING. The InteGuitar is so simple to figure out. The trick is it doesn’t teach you everything there is to know about learning the guitar. It’s about getting the 1st step out of the way. The basics or rudimentary stage of the guitar is the common time when the majority or learners give up trying to learn.
NOTE and CHORD Identification. A limit of five colours is used to describe all of the notes of the Guitar. As a beginner which of the three types do I learn on?

If in doubt buy the Nylon Deal but: The electric guitar has never been recognised as a beginners choice out of the three types of guitar but that does not mean learning on an electric its the wrong thing to do or any of the three. see the FULL  size deals to research what suits you.
